S1: E8 Mask Up

Hey! It's been a while!

What a crazy world we currently live in. Quarantine ended for me at the beginning of July, and time is just quickly slipping by. I keep thinking about how much I want to create, but I don't have the time for it now that I am back to work. Meanwhile, for 4 months I had nothing but time and did not do as much as I had hoped to!

Funny how that happens. 

Looking back at the first two months of 2020, we could stand closer than 6 feet to our friends and family, and show our smiles in public. Now, we can't leave the house without going over the mental checklist of "...keys... phone... wallet... MASK!" Who knew face masks would become a necessary accessory in our daily lives.

I know I never thought in my design career I would be designing masks, and yet here we are! Redbubble offered them as a product option so I jumped right on that! From TV show quotes, Vine references, and fun patterns, I had so much fun creating these. Aside from stickers, they have become my best sellers! (Especially with the offered deal of 4 or more for $10 each 😉) To know that my creations are walking around on people's faces is mind blowing! Being able to practice my skill on a new medium, so to speak, has been such a great learning experience. 

So make sure to MASK UP to protect yourself and those around you. We have not finished fighting this battle yet.

I have always had a hard time with changes throughout my life. Even though it is the one constant thing to happen. But as I get older, I am realizing how much it is needed and I have been embracing it. Life would be boring if everything stayed the same. S2: E9 Yogurt Cup

If you know me at all, then you probably know that my all time favorite show is Boy Meets World. Clearly, because my whole brand is even based off of it! One of my favorite moments in the show is when Eric and Cory go on a road trip together. What Cory doesn't know is that for Eric, this isn't just a trip. He decides he isn't going home afterwards. Along their travels though, they come across the World's Largest Yogurt Cup, which they must visit! There is even a Parade of Sprinkles that Cory checks out, but doesn't get the memo about wearing goggles to protect his eyes. 😂 (Images found on Google from the show, I do not own the rights to them - sharing for visual purpose) I feel I am a lot like Cory Matthews in many ways, but one being how I would be just as excited for this random iconic monument. S3: E9 Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year

"Never apologize  for how you feel,  for how you hurt,  for how much you love." I'll be honest with you. I feel like I have been in a bit of a slump the past 2 months. Waves of loneliness, FOMO, fear in general, being different or having unique interests, the constant comparison and not being where I "should be" in life. All of it is valid, but this is MY YEAR.  In honor of my 30th back on January 19th, I decided to do something fun for myself on the 19th of every month this year - so far it's been a success! July is my "half-birthday" month and I thought it would be a good time to step back to appreciate all the good/positives that have happened since my birthday rather than get stuck in the slump.
