S3: E5 In the Mood

Image
When I was 25, I decided to make a mood board and focus on 5 things I wanted to happen that year. I gathered old unwanted magazines and cut out words, phrases, and pictures that stood out and manifested with me. I collaged them on a poster board and hung it up in my room so I could constantly see it. Funny enough, by the end of the year, 4 of the 5 things actually happened! I hadn’t even noticed in each moment that they were things I had been manifesting. Just one day I looked and realized all the things that came true. It was pretty incredible, and I still have the poster hung up as inspiration.   Now here we are, 5 years later. I am in such a different and better place mentally than I was back then. I still wanted to create another mood board of sorts, but without the cutting of magazines. Instead, I decided to find pictures, phrases, poems, anything already saved in my phone, or ones I newly found, that resonated with me. It's comforting to see there are people out there who fee...

S3: E4 Let's Talk Resolutions

Image
Hey! It's been a while! It's a new year AND I'm 30 now! (That will be another blog 😉) A lot has gone on since my last entry and now January is already almost over. Time moves so fast these days. Even though it's the end of the month, let's talk resolutions. Do you make any? Do you usually? What do you think of when you hear the word 'resolutions'? I think most people feel a lot of pressure and expectations, or just give up before January is over. When you can honestly work on these at any time, in my opinion. I try to make a list each year, but I consider them more as goals for myself. This time I decided to write 10 things as if they had already happened. I wanted to share them here with you and reflect on each one a little bit. I am hoping to inspire someone else out there in some way, while at the same time holding myself accountable.  Here we go! 1. I talked less and listened more.  Every time I talk to people (friends, family, anyone!) I walk...

S3: E3 Breakfast with a Giraffe

When I was younger my mom asked me every single year if I wanted to go to Disney World. Every single time I said no. Shocking, right?? I have never liked rollercoasters and I thought that's all it was, so why would I want to go? Little did I know, it is SO MUCH MORE than rollercoasters! The first time I finally went was when I was a sophomore in high school as part of the color guard with the band. Of course my mom came along as a chaperone (and she claims she had more fun than I did) but at least we finally got to go together.     Now flash forward to one year ago, when I got to make HER dream Disney trip come true.      Any time I have gone to Disney I can usually only stay at the cheaper resorts... All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, Art of Animation, and then branching out to Port Orleans Riverside. Of course I would love to stay at a Deluxe resort, but that was always way out of my reach. Last summer, I was just...
