S2: E15 Make a Change

The world needs our help. Recently I found out that June 16th is World Sea Turtle Day, which at the time was coming up, so I decided to do some research. I came across a website that listed 10 ways we can help. One that stood out to me was "choose sunscreen carefully." Last time I was at the beach, I will admit I did not use sunscreen and got burnt pretty bad. I sure learned my lesson the hard way! But now I know that certain sunscreens are actually not good for the ocean and those who live in it. It's important to find a brand that is reef friendly. This simple change, believe it or not, can make a big impact to help sea turtles.

At the last minute, I decided to make a graphic with the 10 things the website suggested. Before that I was not sure how exactly I could help make a difference. Then I realized that spreading the word is the best way to start. So hopefully you are also inspired by this list and find something you can do to make a change. The sea turtles need us. Mark your calendar for next year, but you don't have to wait until then to start helping.

    We can learn at all ages of our lives. I must use sunscreen AND now think about the kind. I have not thrown the ole out but decided to look more carefully for the next one. Thank you Marilyn

I have always had a hard time with changes throughout my life. Even though it is the one constant thing to happen. But as I get older, I am realizing how much it is needed and I have been embracing it. Life would be boring if everything stayed the same. S2: E9 Yogurt Cup

If you know me at all, then you probably know that my all time favorite show is Boy Meets World. Clearly, because my whole brand is even based off of it! One of my favorite moments in the show is when Eric and Cory go on a road trip together. What Cory doesn't know is that for Eric, this isn't just a trip. He decides he isn't going home afterwards. Along their travels though, they come across the World's Largest Yogurt Cup, which they must visit! S3: E9 Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year

"Never apologize  for how you feel,  for how you hurt,  for how much you love." I'll be honest with you. I feel like I have been in a bit of a slump the past 2 months. Waves of loneliness, FOMO, fear in general, being different or having unique interests, the constant comparison and not being where I "should be" in life. All of it is valid, but this is MY YEAR.  In honor of my 30th back on January 19th, I decided to do something fun for myself on the 19th of every month this year - so far it's been a success! July is my "half-birthday" month and I thought it would be a good time to step back to appreciate all the good/positives that have happened since my birthday rather than get stuck in the slump.
